Film Synopsis :
Sicily Travel Tips :
Romance and Spirit of Sicily - Cefalù Documentary w/Massimo Villas.
Massimo invited us to stay in Cefalu and explore the surrounding areas
including local towns and villages. We also went to Palermo to eat street food
and of course ice-cream!
We found the house of Aleister crowley, the wickedest
man in the world and climbed La Rocca. There is a lot to do in Cefalu and in
this documentary I go to see the wine making process at a vineyard in
Sant'anastasia and we see where Cinema Paradiso was filmed and The Godfather.
Boat trips, food, drink, bikes and much more! Come with me and enjoy the
smells, tastes and delights of Cefalu and Sicily!
Trivia: In a typical
Sicilian fashion, I was approached by Massimo at a tourism conference in London
and he asked me to make a film for him about Cefalu. There was no formal
contract and it was all done on a hand shake. When we arrived, Massimo wasn't
there and I knew nothing about Cefalu, as the plan had been to film him as we
wander around. Luckily, he sent Angelo to pick us up, who was excellent and
very knowledgeable host.
One of the best things
about Sicily was the food and they wouldn't stop bringing out the dishes, but I
caught a bug on the plane and wasn't able to eat anything my whole time there!
Massimo's PR assistant didn't want us to include the house of The Wickedest Man
in the World, because it wasn't appropriate for children. But like me, Massimo
agreed that it was a pretty fascinating story, so we kept it in the film!
